Hallmark Christmas Movie Stars Help PEOPLE Celebrate Sexiest Man Alive (PHOTOS)
The countdown to PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issue kicked off in the sweetest — and most festive — way possible with a little help from Hallmark.
On Oct. 3, The Groomsmen stars Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt and the 10 contestants from the upcoming reality competition show, Finding Mr. Christmas, visited PEOPLE HQ in New York City for a panel discussion led by Executive Editor of TV and Events Breanne L. Heldman.
The Groomsmen trio chatted about their on-screen and real-life “bromance” and the Hallmark hunk hopefuls introduced themselves before they all performed the movie trilogy’s signature dance. The celebrations were capped off with cookies designed to look like Bennett, Hynes and Britt.
Here, see the handsome cast of The Groomsmen and Finding Mr. Christmas at the festive event.

The Bromance in Action
“B.J. [Britt] and I had done a movie together. We hit it off, just became buddies, and Tyler [Hynes] and I have become really good friends,” Bennett said during the panel. “There’s very few times, I’d say, in your career when you walk on set and it all just fits. Everything just clicks and you don’t have to do anything. It’s just automatically there. And those are your golden moments.”
‘The Groomsmen’ Signature Dance
The 13 handsome Hallmark stars got down to “Shake Your Groove Thing” by Peaches and Herb.

B.J. Britt
“I can’t talk about Pete without talking about these two,” Britt says of his character in The Groomsmen. “You take these two gentlemen [Hynes and Bennett’s characters] who have been best friends with Pete for lifelong, you stick it in the movie where they explore their bromance, they explore their love lives, they explore marriage and what that looks like, but they also hold each other accountable. They aren’t just yes friends.”
Jonathan Bennett
“What I think is so powerful about this story, and I think Tyler was the one that championed it when we were developing it, is I was like, ‘I want it to be three best friends. I want my character to be gay and I want my two other best friends to be straight,'” Bennett recalled of The Groomsmen. “Because in my real life, that’s what my real-life group of friends looks like. And I think those stories aren’t told that much. I don’t see a lot of those stories being told.”
Tyler Hynes
“This is the first time we’ve really actually talked about these movies,” Hynes said of The Groomsmen trilogy. “So this feels very full circle. Again, there’s very few people in the world as sincere and genuine people as these two gentlemen.”
Name a Sexier Cookie
