John Legend to Bring ‘Sense of Togetherness’ as He Announces Christmas Tour (Exclusive)

John Legend is bringing his Christmas tour back for the 2024 holiday season!

Legend will be taking a four-piece band on the road with him to perform renditions of holiday classics from his 2018 album A Legendary Christmas, executive produced by Raphael Saadiq and featuring Stevie Wonder.

“My hope for these shows is that they feel like a gathering of friends by the fireside — where the music brings warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness,” Legend, 45, tells PEOPLE exclusively as he announces A John Legend Christmas.

“Over the years, I’ve experienced the holidays in so many ways, and each version of me — from my childhood to now as a father — has shaped the way I approach this season,” the musician tells PEOPLE. “I want to share that journey with the audience, through songs and stories that celebrate both the festive spirit and the moments that bring us closer. I hope people leave feeling like they’ve been part of something warm, familiar, and special.”

The “All of Me” singer will also bring his love for storytelling to his audiences as he reflects on his career, the stories and memories behind the songs, and his life with a growing family. Legend and his wife, model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen, are parents to four children — daughters Luna, 8, Esti, 20 months, and sons Miles, 6, and Wren, 14 months.

Legend recently released My Favorite Dream in August, inspired by his wife and children. The album features sing-alongs to original songs and classic children’s songs, including “You Are My Sunshine” and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.”
