These 4 Zodiac Signs Are in Their Villain Era in October

October will be ushering in spooky season, but also a “villain era” for certain zodiac signs.

According to astrologer Amy Demure, Cardinal signs’ “fighting spirit” will intensify in October thanks to the upcoming full moon in Aries on Oct. 17.

“They will have an intense warrior-like mentality that will propel them towards greatness and success,” Demure explained. “But [this time] will also make them very short-tempered.”

The upcoming full moon will be squaring Mars — considered the planet of aggression — which may bring annoyances and irritations, especially for Cardinal signs. Pluto retrograde — which re-entered Capricorn on Sept. 1 — will also greatly affect these signs.

Astrologer Valerie Mesa previously explained to PEOPLE that Pluto retrograde in Capricorn serves as a reminder that “the transformation we seek requires some heavy lifting” when “building a solid foundation for the future.”

Read on to learn more about what exactly this villain era will entail for Cardinal signs this season.

What signs are in their ‘villain era’?

Cardinal Signs.

The Cardinal signs — Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn — will be feeling the energy of Pluto retrograde and as a result, embracing their villain era.

As these Cardinal signs complete a 16-year-long karmic cycle, as Pluto begins to move out of Capricorn later this year, astrologer Kristina Antuna noted on Instagram that people with these zodiac signs should use this time “to reflect on all you’ve endured since 2008 and finally say, ‘no more.'”

“This isn’t just an astrology transit; it’s a powerful moment of transformation,” Antuna continued. “You’re done playing the victim, tolerating less, and dimming your light. The journey has been long, but you’ve grown stronger, wiser, and ready to own your power unapologetically.”

When exactly did the ‘villain era’ start for Cardinal signs?

Pluto in Capricorn.

Cardinal signs officially entered their villain era when Pluto retrograde re-entered Capricorn on Sept. 1. Pluto retrograde officially began back in May and typically occurs over several months.

Astrologer Lisa Stardust previously told PEOPLE that Pluto retrograde is considered a “time in which we are making sure that we are on the right path and making the changes that are needed.”

“Pluto likes to break down the past in order to re-create a more modified and better way of being,” Stardust explained. “These growing pains may sting but it’s important to allow change to happen the more we resist the harder it will be.”

Valerie Mesa also shared that when Pluto re-entered Capricorn in September, it “can be intensely intimidating, but its retrograde journey through Capricorn challenges us to reassess the structure of our lives, specifically themes of authority, career, reputation and self-mastery.”

When will the ‘villain era’ end for Cardinal signs?

Capricorn.

While Pluto retrograde will officially end on Oct. 11, the planet of transformation and rebirth will remain in Capricorn a bit longer before finally moving out. Cardinal signs’ villain era will end on Nov. 19, when Pluto moves into Aquarius. After this, Pluto won’t be back in Capricorn for our lifetime; the next time it will be in the Earth sign is 2254.

Antuna explained that since 2008, Pluto in Capricorn has made the lives of people with strong Cardinal sign placements feel intense and “like your life went up in flames” because “people try to control and manipulate you.”

As they complete their 16-year cycle, they will be stepping into their power as they move into this new era of their lives.

Antuna added that while Pluto is still in Capricorn, this is the time to reflect and “reclaim your worth, speak your truth, and don’t look back.”
