Aaron Taylor-Johnson Shares Rare Photo with ‘Babygirl’ Jessie on Her Birthday

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s “babygirl” is all grown up.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Kick-Ass actor, 34, shared a few snaps on his Instagram Stories as he celebrated his stepdaughter Jessie’s 18th birthday. In one throwback photo, a younger Taylor-Johnson hugs Jessie, writing, “Happy birthday BabyGirl 💕.”

A second photo shows the two more recently, posing in an outdoor field. Taylor-Johnson has his arm around the teenager, who smiles as she hugs him. “18 now…still my babygirl 💕.”

Aaron shares his daughters Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12, with wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, 57. He is stepdad to her daughters Jessie and Angelica, 26.

In April, Sam spoke with The Guardian in an interview and opened up about the scrutiny she and her husband receive for their 24-year age gap, noting that their daughters don’t seem to have any issue with their relationship.

Asked if her kids face any backlash from their parents’ relationship, Sam answered, “Not really. Or, if so, I don’t think they care. They see two loving, happy parents so it doesn’t really register. They just think people are a bit mean, or mad.”

The Back to Black director added that she’s been married to Aaron for 12 years and together for 14, while she was with ex Jay Jopling for 9 years. “So, if you think of it in that way, then the age gap doesn’t really make any difference.”

In August, Aaron spoke with Esquire about fatherhood, sharing that by the time he was 10 or 11, he already knew he’d have children at a young age.

“I was going to have a big family,” Aaron remembered thinking at that age. “I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I was going to have many kids.”

“Teenagers, man,” the actor added. “I’ve got teenagers.”
