Remi Bader Launches New Size-Inclusive Collab with Sam’s Club (Exclusive)

Remi Bader is expanding her fashion portfolio again — and her latest launch is her most inclusive to date.

On Oct. 8, Remi’s Edited by Remi Bader collection launches at Sam’s Club online (before launching in clubs on Oct. 15), and it’s the brand’s first talent-driven collab. Not only is it size-inclusive, but the pieces come in at an approachable price point (everything is under $30).

To make the collection even more special for Remi, she got to bring this project to life with her dad, Gary Bader, who has been working in the garment industry for 42 years and is a pro at womenswear. Remi tells PEOPLE that they both learned a lot from each other during the process, which started over a year ago when Sam’s Club approached her to create this collection.

Comprised of more than two dozen pieces ranging in size from 00 (XXS) to 32W (6X) online and 4 (XS) to 28W (4X) in clubs, the new collection will feature what Remi calls “chic, affordable basics.” You’ll find denim, including jeans, jackets and skirts, bodysuits, dresses, button-down shirts, a bomber jacket, athleisure and mesh pieces — because it wouldn’t be a Remi Bader collection without some mesh.

Remi, Gary and the design team made sure to tailor the collection to the Sam’s Club customer, though, by incorporating certain features, like double ply on the mesh shirt so that it isn’t sheer except in the sleeves. The bodysuits also have a full-coverage bottom rather than a thong, for maximum comfort.

The size range was incredibly important for Remi, who has long championed inclusivity, whether it’s in previous launches, in other fashion collaborations, in her Fashion Week coverage or in everyday conversations.

“I said I only want to do [this collab] if it could be across-the-board … inclusive sizing, which I haven’t fully done before,” Remi tells PEOPLE of how the conversation started with Sam’s Club. “Originally it was to 5X online and, more recently, I got it pushed to 6X because I just felt like I really had been trying, but [Sam’s Club] said yes. It hasn’t been hard with Sam’s.”

Remi adds that working with a “partner that so actually cares about the inclusivity aspect” made the experience more fulfilling and smoother as well, because they were able to reach that common goal of a collection that felt true to what Remi wanted and right for the customer.

Remi and her dad — who is the CEO of Seven7 Jeans — were involved every step of the way with creating Edited by Remi Bader. The TikTok creator says the “one thing” that she didn’t really have much of a say on was pricing, but she was pleasantly surprised to find out that everything would be under $30.

“I had no issue with that,” she says.

She does emphasize, though, that while all her pieces will be available online, only a select few will be available in clubs to start, and you need a membership to purchase in the clubs. (Online orders can be made without a membership.) Remi is a firm believer in making small steps in the right direction, as long as you’re making those steps, and that’s what she sees this as.

“It’s a start,” Remi says of this launch. “I care more about doing the baby steps where maybe not everyone loves that, but for me, I’m like, I’m in the door.”

She jokes that even though they’ve barely launched the collection, her dad is already “giddy” about what they’ve accomplished together. And despite being a seasoned pro in fashion — working on everything from Melissa McCarthy Collection and Eva Longoria Collection to BONGO Jeans and Candies Jeans — he’s learned from Remi, she says, because all of this was new to both of them.

“It’s crazy because it’s not just me working with my dad,” she says. “It’s working with all these different people that have all of their different customers. From my dad’s customer for Seven7 is very different than maybe my following, which I think is all different people, which is very different from Sam’s Club’s customers. So we’re all learning from each other.”

Ultimately, Remi says she cared most about creating a collection that she could call inclusive — a wore she’s been hesitant to use in the past because she believes it takes a lot to truly embody inclusivity.

“I’m going to say that for the first time because I’ve literally not said that word,” she says of her new collection. “… I’ve been too afraid to say that.”

She also adds that this is a topic and an initiative that she will always care about, no matter what.

“Whatever size I am — for my own reasons or health or whatever it is — has nothing to do [with it] or hasn’t changed what I actually care about and never will,” she says. “I want to make that a point. I actually think this is a very good time that this is happening. It’s obviously something I’ve been working on for a while. … I will never change that. I genuinely care about that so much and I hope that that resonates with people too.”
