New Crushes, More Laughs and Shirtless Hunks

The Sex Lives of College Girls is finally back!

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Max released the first teaser for season 3 of the hilarious, raucous series starring Reneé Rapp, Pauline Chalamet, Alyah Chanelle Scott and Amrit Kaur as suitemates at Essex College — and the girls’ sophomore year is already kicking off with a bang.

The teaser begins with the unruly foursome up to their usual antics, as Kimberly (Chalamet) and Whitney (Scott) return to their dorm in the morning to find Bela (Kaur) and Leighton (Rapp) waiting.

“A double walk of shame? I have to record this historic moment in our suite,” Bela says as she gets her phone out to capture the moment. “Say dicked own on three.”

Kimberly is a willing participant, but Whitney shuts down the idea with an “absolutely not.”

Along with some hilarious accidents, crazy parties and unrivaled roommate bonding, season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls also promises the same relationship ups and downs as its first two installments.

Bela has her sights set on the school’s mascot, Franklin the Fox, she reveals, leaving Kimberly at a loss for words. “I’m sorry, what?” she says after her roommate reveals her latest crush, who later happens to have rock-hard, six-pack abs, so go Bela!

Kimberly seems to be having less luck than Bela, though, as she reveals to Whitney that she “just swiped right” on Whitney’s dad on a dating app. “You did what?!” Whitney yells in reply.

Fans have been waiting for season 3 of the series for two years — and the waiting has been all the more difficult since season 2 left off with some major cliffhangers. Whitney watched Kimberly kiss her ex-boyfriend Canaan (Christopher Meyer) and that seemed to solidify her plans to change her living arrangements for sophomore year. Bela, meanwhile, was keen to transfer out of Essex entirely and start again at a new school after chaos unraveled in the comedy scene she was joining on campus.

Season 3 will also mark the last time fans see Rapp as Leighton, as the singer announced her departure in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) last July.

“I wouldn’t be half the person I am without [Leighton] and y’all. I love that b—- more than you know,” she wrote in the post. “I’m so excited for this season and I can’t wait for you to see what we have coming for her and the girls.”

She later told PEOPLE of the departure, “I definitely have feelings about it and what that means for the show and me and my music. But I can’t really comment on anything just due to the SAG and the WGA strike. It prohibits me from talking about it, but I have a lot of feelings about it.”

Rapp, 24, is not listed as a series regular for season 3, either, and will instead be a recurring guest star in the upcoming episodes.
