Kaley Cuoco Jokes Being a Mom Is Like ‘Taking Care of Your Drunk Best Friend’
Kaley Cuoco is opening up about the chaos of motherhood!
On Monday, Nov. 25, the actress, 38, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and compared looking after her daughter Matilda, 19 months, to taking care of a drunk best friend.
“It’s a wild thing,” Cuoco, who shares Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, said. “I was trying to explain to our couple’s therapist the other day why I’m so tired.”
Speaking to the live audience, she added, “You should all be in couple’s therapy, just FYI.”
“I was explaining to her that taking care of a 19-month-old is like taking care of your drunk best friend every day,” Cuoco joked. “All day, literally all day.”

The Flight Attendant star went on to say, “They’re crying when they don’t get what they want, you’re making sure they make it to the bathroom or you’re cleaning their throw up from whatever.”
“They’re out of their minds and you’re making sure they don’t die all day long,” she continued. “And then they black out and you’re like ready to die and they wake up and they’re like, ‘What’s for breakfast?’ ”

The mother of one often shares snaps of family life with her daughter and fiancé, 42, on social media.
Earlier this month, the proud mom posted a picture of Matilda smiling brightly while standing between her parents.
“When you tell her to ‘cheese’ and her face makes you cheese,” Cuoco wrote over the photo.
The post came after the The Big Bang Theory alum revealed she had been struggling to get her daughter to sleep after daylight savings time turned the clocks back by one hour.
“I finally understand what parents were always bitching about regarding their kids and daylight savings time,” Cuoco wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Now I know. I get it. I see you. Why is the world doing this to us?”
Cuoco and Pelphrey welcomed Matilda on March 30, 2023 and later announced the happy news on Instagram, calling their baby girl the “new light of our lives.”
